Unfortunately, that's on PBs end, not ours and we can't touch it. However, it's best someone else replies to just let you know: Tim Camara

There's no template access, but you could add in some JavaScript like so:
$('#content > .container.error .content').append('Anything you want, text, HTML, etc.');

Global header/footer would probably be the best place.

Global header/footer would probably be the best place. But where would the global header be? When i look at the Layout Templates i see: Forum Wrapper Board Calendar Conversations Page Home Members Posting Page Search Page Shoutbox Thread User Profile Edit User Profile Mini-Profile Micro-Profile I don't mean to sound like an idiot, but where would it be?

It's not under the Layout Templates at all, you can find it in your Admin Area under Structure > Headers & Footers.

OK, got it in the footer, And JavaScript is enabled on my browser. I must be missing something because the entire code is appearing on every page. (Not just the text, but the entire line of code.) And here is an example of the code taken from the main page. </div> $('#content > .container.error .content').append('<p>If the link you clicked is from an external source, then it is likely outdated, however, threads aren't normally deleted. They are usually deleted under order of ProBoards likely as a result of violating ProBoards Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.</p>');<iframe name="_rlcdn" src="http://ei.rlcdn.com/362186.html?s=92c94dda665faf6994950a44cf8485fc54d2a104" width="0" frameborder="0" height="0"></iframe><script type="text/javascript" src="http://ads.pro-market.net/ads/scripts/site-131222.js"></script><script type="text/javascript"> (function() { var nstrack = document.createElement("script"), el_nstrack = document.getElementsByTagName("script")[0]; nstrack.async = true; nstrack.src = "http://track.netshelter.net/async/js/sites/proboards.com-async.js"; el_nstrack.parentNode.insertBefore(nstrack, el_nstrack); })(); I must be. Something that tells the browser that it's JavaScript code.

OK, but nothing appears now. Basically, what i was looking for is code like "If text on page is "Oops, there was an error!". Then display [custom error message]."

There is an error in the code '<p>If the link you clicked is from an external source, then it is likely outdated, however, threads aren't normally deleted. They are usually deleted under order of ProBoards likely as a result of violating ProBoards Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.</p>'You'll notice that the string is using the single quote (aka apostrophe) in order to mark the start and end of the text so if you wish to use an apostrophe inside that string then it will need to be escaped or you'll confuse the browser. To escape something in a javascript string you add a left-leaning (aka bleeding heart liberal ) slash in front of it like so ' ...threads aren\'t normally deleted'
